In recent years a new community gathering seems to be cementing its place in the Sheshader annual calendar - the Sheshader BBQ. The event is held down at the shore by the boat shed. Myself, Margaret my wife, and our children Heather and Scott were lucky enough to be home on holiday and attended the event. A great time was had by all despite the weather trying to dampen spirits. At the end of the day I think there was too much in the way of high sprits for any kind of rainfall to have an effect.

Looking forward to Sheshader BBQ 2010 already. Next time I will be armed with capturing some video footage.
